Dollar-a-day program

eace House Foundation is pleased to offer a new way to become involved with the children of Tanzania. Through our Dollar a Day program, you can provide the resources needed to keep a child educated, fed, clothed and cared for. PHF currently supports 65 children in Tanzania, and we hope to increase that number significantly in coming months. You can help make that happen.

When you join the Dollar a Day program, you are not sponsoring a specific child. Rather, you are supplying the funds to support one child at one of the organizations we work with. You will receive information about the organization, and a thank you note and hand-drawn picture from the organization. You will also receive periodic updates from the organization you are supporting.

We do not match donors with specific children primarily because many of the children are in the process of being reunited with their families, and new children come to the organizations when that happens. By providing financial stability for the entire organization, we are able to ensure that all children living there are receiving the care they need. Based on past expenses, your Dollar a Day donation of $365 will be spent approximately as follows:

You may donate your Dollar a Day pledge in one lump sum at any time, or you may pay quarterly installments of $92 (a $0.75 handling fee is added to each installment to cover administrative costs). You may make your donation by sending us a check, or by using PayPal, the online secure payment system.

To send a check, please write “Dollar a Day” in the memo field. If it is not for the full $365, a reminder card will be sent to you 3, 6, and 9 months after we receive your first installment.

To pay online, please type in “Dollar a Day” in the section marked “Use my donation in this way:” and include your mailing address so that we can send you an acknowledgment letter.
