NEWS FROM PEACE HOUSE SECONDARY SCHOOL:

Peace House Secondary School Opens!

September 10, 2007 - Last week, PHF's dream to provide help to some of the world's neediest children became a reality for 120 boys and girls when Peace House Secondary School opened its doors. Students arrived with small suitcases, wide eyes and a sense of disbelief that their lives would be forever changed. They went to bed on that first night knowing that they now have a chance for a future filled with hope. This highly anticipated opening has been many years in the making.

Thank you to all who have given time, money and talents.

Former President of Tanzania at PHS
Scott Augustine

July 2006 - Peace House Secondary School had another notable visitor recently when former President Benjamin Mkapa stopped by to look the progress and hear more about PHF's mission in Tanzania. Peace House Foundation's founder and board chairman, Scott Augustine, was in Tanzania during the President's visit and had the chance to explain the work being done. President Mkapa's administration was instrumental in allocating the land where PHA is located.

It was a proud moment to be able to show him the construction progress and also to share with him more fully and personally our vision for what we hope to accomplish in Tanzania.
