Former President of Tanzania at PHS
July 2006 - Peace House Secondary School had another notable visitor recently when former President Benjamin Mkapa stopped by to look the progress and hear more about PHF's mission in Tanzania. Peace House Foundation's founder and board chairman, Scott Augustine, was in Tanzania during the President's visit and had the chance to explain the work being done. President Mkapa's administration was instrumental in allocating the land where PHA is located.
It was a proud moment to be able to show him the construction progress and also to share with him more fully and personally our vision for what we hope to accomplish in Tanzania.
