"The children's smiles are engraved in my heart. We have met such amazing people who are changing lives here in Africa. One person can make a difference in this world." - Tonya Warren, Project 640 volunteer, February 2006

Join Project 640 on an exciting adventure to Africa to
help give hope to these children.

To help PHF fulfill its mission, a group of dedicated volunteers has formed Project 640, named for the 640 Tanzanian teens who will be students at Peace House Secondary School. Since early 2006, the men and women participating in Project 640 have traveled to the school site in Africa twice a year to build, dig and plant alongside the local Tanzanian construction crew.

Peace House Foundation will continue to organize Project 640 trips yearly to give participants the opportunity to develop relationships with the students at Peace House Secondary School, help the students strenghten their English language skills and volunteer in a variety of other ways.

In addition to giving time and energy, each Project 640 volunteer raises a minimum of $3,500 for the school and pays for his/her own travel expenses.

2008 Project 640 Travel Dates:
February 23 - March 5
